The vertical release feature is especially handy for heavier cameras or when switching one camera between multiple supports like a handheld rig, dolly, or tripod. This quick release system enables you to detach the bridgeplate vertically, saving the time and effort otherwise spent sliding your camera rig off the back of a dovetail. The Left Field 19mm Studio Quick Release Bridgeplate from Bright Tangerine features a three-stage Open

They allow for a more comprehensive and efficient on-set workflow. They’re made of anodized aluminum with hardened, damage-proof stainless-steel parts.Ī few quick-release brackets are also available for interchangeable use with the Titan arms.

Moreover, the Titan arms are designed to endure harsh on-set and weather conditions. The design prevents over-torqueing of joints, as well as wear and tear for proper operation and long life. There’s no way to over-tighten the center joint because, at a certain point, it locks and can't be tightened any further. The Titan Support Arm is perhaps the most practical articulating arm ever designed.Īdditionally, the Titan arms are built with over-tightening protection. The idea is that you can readjust your monitor (or other accessory) as needed throughout the shoot, while having the rest of the arm fully locked in place. On the Titan Support Arm, when the center is fully tightened, the 1/4"-20 end remains continually friction-adjustable. But the Titan Support Arm, which holds up to 17.5 lb, leaves one end point further adjustable. This version is for heavy-duty applications. When you fully tighten the center joint on it, all the joints lock into place. The Titan Rigging Arm supports up to 26.5 lb. Both have the same technology, 11" length, and 3/8”-16 mount on one end and 1/4”-20 with a mounting disc on the other. A great benefit of this capability is that the arm won’t accidentally collapse and smash your monitor against your camera as you’re setting it up or taking it down. The arm can then be left at 75% so you can further adjust it throughout your shoot, or you can tighten it fully. You can do this slowly and comfortably, calmly adjusting the pivot points into precise positions.

But it will still be loose enough to let you adjust it further. If you tighten the arm about 75%, for example, you can let go of it completely and it’ll stay in position-with your load mounted. In the Titan arms, the center joint loosens and tightens gradually, and the arm articulates with a corresponding amount of friction. When the center is tightened, all joints lock up.

Normally with articulating arms, when you loosen the center joint, the entire arm instantly becomes floppy. What’s achieved is friction, and that’s what the Titan arms are all about. The company calls it "core transmission technology.” This new technology generates 2.5 tons of pressure that’s sent up the two segments of the arm through pistons, all the way up to ball bearings at the end points. Whereas articulating arms commonly have a rosette-type center mechanism, Bright Tangerine’s Titan arms have a reinvented design based on a new center mechanism. Virtually every product Bright Tangerine releases has a key feature or two that solves major problems, and quality is a standard with them.
